May 30th (Day 16)

Today was an awesome day! I had to get up early, which stunk, but I got to the office at 7:45 am and went off to do a video shoot. We were filming a parody of the McD's "filet o' fish" commercial to promote Mo-Groups. After about two hours or so, we were finished getting footage for the 30 sec ad. When we got back to the office, I worked with Michael Bartlett (another intern) and Josh (volunteer) and began editing the video. Once 11:45 am rolled around, I loaded the black back-drop in my car and drove over to Starbucks to meet James, Shelly (volunteer), Ben (volunteer), and Dan for a photo shoot. We wanted to get a photo of Dan on a Harley. After about an hour of driving a couple of places to find a good view and taking pictures, I headed back in to the office. When I got back I began working on developing 'remixes' of modern worship songs so that they would be more of Momentum's style. Once James got back from his meetings, he had me modify the audio/jingle track for the ad a little more. Once I was finally finished with it, we recorded Josh doing the voice over part for the ad. To add kicks, we also recorded James singing a few "OoO's" in the background with the choir. I put the video at the end of the blog, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to put it on so enjoy and don't let it get out. ;-) This evening I had dinner with Dan, his wife Shannon, and Jason Peterson. It was an excellent meal along with some awesome conversation. After dinner I headed over to Matt Caton's house to play a little bit of Poker. It was a $5 buy in, which I barely made, but it turned out to be a wise investment. By the end of the night, I had come from last place to win $35. I took off after the first game because I wanted to get back home and take care of a few things before having to go to bed. I'm up at 6 am again tomorrow for church. I'm pretty excited about the whole service tomorrow though. I hope you all have an amazing Sunday!!! :-)
